After Scaling and Gum Treatment

You may experience slight tooth sensitivity or discomfort after scaling, but it should subside on its own (usually within 1-2 hours).
If there is some bleeding around the gums, don’t be alarmed. Rinse your mouth gently with warm saltwater. The bleeding should stop within 1-2 hours.
After scaling, continue with regular tooth cleaning but use a soft toothbrush and gentle strokes.
Aim to clean every tooth surface thoroughly to prevent the formation of new tartar.
Brush your teeth correctly, using dental floss daily, ideally twice a day for 3-5 minutes each time. Consider using fluoride toothpaste to protect against tooth decay.
Follow any additional treatment recommendations given by your dentist and attend scheduled follow-up appointments.
Generally, it is advisable to schedule dental scaling every 6 months for maintenance.
